Kabira Mobility, the Goa-based electric vehicle start-up, has rolled out two new high-speed electric motorcycles – KM 3000 and KM400. While the Kabira KM 3000 has been priced at Rs 1,26,990, the Kabira KM 4000 costs Rs 1,36, 990. The latter one has been claimed to be the fastest electric bike in the country. The Kabira KM3000 uses a 4kWh battery pack and a 6kWh BLDC (brushless DC electric motor) motor delivering range of 120km in Eco mode. In Sport mode, the bike offers a claimed top speed of 100kmph and range of 60km.
The Kabira KM4000, on the other hand, comes with a 4.4kWh battery and a 8kW motor promising a range of 150km in Eco mode. It can hit a top speed of 120kmph and offer a range of 90km in Sport mode. While the KM 3000 is claimed to accelerate 0 to 40kmph in 3.3 seconds, the KM 4000 can do the same in 3.1 seconds.
The battery packs of both bikes can be charged up to 80 percent in 2 hours 50 minutes via Eco charge and 50 minutes via Boost charge. It can be juiced up 100 percent in 6 hours 30 minutes via Eco charge.
Both models have single rear disc brakes with CBS (Combi Braking system). While the Kabira KM3000 has single disc brake upfront, the Kabira KM4000 gets dual disc brake at the front end. The overall length, width and height of the KM3000 stand at 2100mm, 760mm and 1200mm. It has a wheelbase of 1430mm and a ground clearance of 170mm. The bike offers a seat height of 830mm and has a kerb weight of 138kgs.
The Kabira KM4000 is 2050mm long, 740mm wide, 1280mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1280mm. Its ground clearance stands at 200mm. The electric motorcycle carries a kerb weight of 147kg and has a seat height of 800mm.
